While AI-generated feedback has been a major focus, today we’re excited to introduce Smart Feedback Templates - a new feature designed to give you full control over the feedback that you provide to students.

What are Smart Feedback Templates you ask?

Smart Feedback Templates allow you to pre-define feedback for each rating level in your rubric. As you assign grades, the corresponding feedback is automatically applied to the student’s submission. This is great because it means that each grade comes with specific, targeted feedback you have written and there’s no need to validate feedback.

If you’re not opting to use AI-generated feedback, crafting personalized feedback for every submission can be extremely time-consuming, especially with large classes. With Smart Feedback Templates, you only write feedback once, and it’s automatically applied as you grade. This ensures every student receives feedback aligned with their grade – without the repetitive effort.

Smart Feedback Templates are now available on TimelyGrader. To use them, simply go to the advanced feedback setting during assignment setup and select “Smart Feedback Templates” to start creating templates.
