Introducing Custom Feedback Settings!

This Wednesday, February 14th, we will be giving instructors and teachers their very own Valentine’s Day present: the ability to customize the structure of feedback generated by the AI. It’s consistent, even at large scales.

Do you want to give students only a short paragraph of feedback? Or a thorough list of items of recommendations? We've got you covered.

Advanced feedback settings

We understand that every course and assignment is different and you might want to give your students different types of feedback, whether it’s high-level and short tips or multiple descriptive recommendations.

There are two main ways for you to customize the feedback.

Changing System-Generated Feedback Settings

You can now change the number of suggestions that you want and the length of each suggestion. If this is a simple and short assignment, you should decrease the number of suggestions to 2 or 3. If this is a larger assignment, you can provide the students with 4 or 5 suggestions with larger suggestions, as indicated by "Length of Each Suggestion.”

You can also change the “Language Level” and “Feedback Tone” to better support your students and reflect your teaching style.

Complete Freedom with Custom Feedback Structure

Changing custom feedback settings

Lastly, you can create your very own feedback structure. Whether it’s keeping feedback to under 2 sentences or a complex structure with lists and bullet points, this is where you can dictate what the AI generates.

Remember though, the output can only be as good as the prompt so this might take a few iterations to get right. We will be creating a blog soon on how you might use this to create your feedback structure.
