Hey students! Are you ready to start getting feedback on your assignment drafts using TimelyGrader? Join us as we guide you through the process, from setting up your account to receiving feedback on your assignments. It’s pretty straightforward, so let’s dive in so you can start getting feedback and iterating on your assignments.
Step 1: Accepting the Invitation
When your instructor invites you to a course, you’ll receive an email letting you know. Occasionally this email may go to spam, so if you haven’t received an invite and you think you should have, make sure to check your spam folder. To join the course click “Accept Invitation.”
If this is your first time using TimelyGrader you’ll be prompted to enter all of the details needed to set up your account (If you’re a returning user you must log in to the account associated with the email the course invitation was sent to). Once you complete the setup process, you will see the course dashboard containing the course you’ve just joined.
Step 2: Generating Feedback
From the course dashboard, click on your course. Once you’re inside the course the first thing you will see are the assignments your instructor has made available for you to get feedback on.
When you find the assignment you want to get feedback on, you can either click on the “Get Feedback” button here to jump right into feedback generation, or you can click into the assignment first to view the assignment description and rubric.
Regardless of how you get there, when you click “Get Feedback” button you will be prompted to enter your assignment draft and generate feedback. For each assignment, you’ll have three opportunities to get feedback.
When you’ve reviewed the feedback from your first draft and iterated on your assignment you can navigate to the next attempt to get feedback on your latest draft.
Step 3: Reviewing Feedback
Once you’ve generated feedback, you can always review it from the expanded assignment view. From the feedback generation screen, click back and you’ll see each attempt on this page in the right column.
It’s as simple as that! Remember that while feedback is based on the assignment requirements and your instructor’s specifications, AI feedback is intended to supplement, not replace your instructor’s feedback. If there’s anything that you’re unsure about, please double-check with your instructor.
Happy iterating!
